Mons Backe in Kil

A split-level house with a living area of 90 sqm on each level. The building is designed and constructed as a passive house. Air leakage of 0.2 l/s/sqm was measured during airtightness checks.

The heat exchanger is fitted with a 1.8 kW electric heating element. Supplementary heat is obtained mainly from a soapstone stove in the kitchen.

The whole house is a self-build stick-built project.
